THE VIBE

We're more than just special...

WE’RE A UNIQUE GEM

Our racks are always bursting with unique items that express our love for edgy preppy, modern boho, retro chic, and classically timeless looks. We source apparel from the everyday basics to that killer 'where’d you get that?' show-stopper of a piece. Tops, dresses, coats, pants, jeans, skirts, shorts, sweaters, loungewear, jumpsuits, accessories, and more are updated weekly, along with seasonal selections like jackets, coats, shorts, and tanks. For a peek into what we have in-store, check out our Instagram.

Besides having kick-ass threads, our overall vibe is one of unabashed positivity—equal parts sweetness and sass—where we aren't afraid to laugh out loud (even at ourselves), and who cares if we snort a bit while doing it :) Life is short, and we’re all on this wild ride together, sliding up and down the all the colors of the rainbow!

WE ARE:

Fierce defenders of your uniqueness and individuality

Committed to style - whatever that means to YOU

Not afraid to laugh out loud

Sweetness, sass, confidence & bad-ass mixologists

WE ARE NOT:

Cookie-cutter, expected, or BORING

Disrespectful, judgy, or unkind

Stuffy or uptight

Scared to try new things

Our Team

Lisa Reisner

founder & owner

As an enthusiastic bargain hunter, her journey in the world of retail began on the shop floor many years ago. The dream of owning a boutique that radiates warmth and is brimming with fabulous styles has always fueled her ambition. Her profound love for fashion, coupled with a passionate desire to make women feel beautiful and empowered, led to the birth of Someday Boutique. She harbored the belief that 'someday' she would realize her dream, and indeed, that day has come.

SOME FUN FACTS ABOUT LISA:

If she could, Lisa would decorate her house in denim…while eating Disco Fries.

Italy holds a special place in heart, as do all seasons of The Real Housewives.

She secretly would like to “single-white-female” her friend Julie Paxman (but she’d settle for her style of style to avoid jail time).

Our fabulous Someday Stylist

Patti became a cherished member of our Someday family in 2021, and we consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have her on board. With her rich background in retail and a natural affinity for everything stylish, Patti brings a unique blend of expertise and passion to our team. When you stop by to work with her, you're in for a delightful experience. Prepare to leave with not just sass and style, but a newfound confidence in your stride!

SOME FUN FACTS ABOUT PATTI:

Don’t ask Patti to be on your basketball team - she’s pretty bad. However, if you have a crime you need solving, she’s basically a detective.

Patti is SAVAGE - she has her private pilots license!

A perfect day for Patti would be sitting at brunch in the French Riviera, having eggs Benedict, cinnamon rolls, and a maple latte, while country music plays in the background. And there would be no basketball.

OUR STORY

LISA

Beam of sunshine, happy heart, bowler extraordinaire, & founder of Someday Boutique:

Lisa has always had a passion for fashion, decor, and all things design…

Before opening Someday Boutique, she flexed her creative chops while working as a wedding planner and event coordinator in the Mad River Valley. When Lisa started, many of the venues she worked at had their tried and true methods of handling functions. However, Lisa's arrival introduced an elevated sense of style — going out of her way to ensure the couple's vision was infused into every area of their celebration. She also liked to dress to match the vibe and decor of the event — and one time, she almost got fired for it! But the bride loved it. Touché!

Prior to working with couples getting married, Lisa coordinated singles parties all over the country for the alternative weekly magazine, the Boston Phoenix (quite an apropos timeline!)

Although Lisa loved connecting people, styling events, and zhuzhing up weddings, there was always something missing…

For as long as she could remember, Lisa had a dream to “someday” open her own store. All while working her various jobs, and even when she took time off to raise her kids, she had a feeling she just couldn't shake:

I’LL HAVE MY OWN STORE

She said it a million times to everyone (just ask her family!) and as time went on, the little nagging voice inside her head just kept getting louder and louder. She opened herself up to the universe and kept her eyes open for that perfect opportunity, and maybe, just maybe, she could make her dream come true…

“SOMEDAY” becomes present day…

Lisa always had her eyes on a sweet store space in her village of Warren, Vermont, loving it dearly from afar. She called it her ‘someday shop.’ And, like so many brick-and-mortar stores during the time of COVID, the lessees moved out, and it became available. Lisa’s ‘someday’ was suddenly her ‘today.’

It was quite a risk opening a shop during COVID, but Lisa found a gem in the owner of the building. The landlady, an older and wiser entrepreneur, agreed to work with Lisa while she got her feet wet. She allowed Lisa to host pop-ups in the space on weekends, and work her other full-time job Monday through Friday. Lisa called in every favor she had — and even those she didn't. Women from her past and present showed up with hangers, fixtures, furniture, and clothing. To keep costs minimal, Lisa decided to start with consignment.

Now faced with the reality of her dream, Lisa was nervous as heck! However, she knew she couldn't not try — she had just turned 50, and her two daughters were watching her every move. She read the book "Untamed" by Glennon Doyle and cried her eyes out. She felt that if she allowed her fears to take control, she would not only let herself down, but also her precious girls.

Lisa knew she had to bust out of that cage and strut her stuff!

THE SHOP OPENED IN August 2020

In fact, it opened on August 8th - the eighth day of the eighth month. Lisa’s lucky number? Yup, 8 it is!

However, the shop opened without a name…

It took Lisa some time to solidify a name, and in her words, it was “worse than naming a child!” But Lisa kept going back to the dream she had that never died - that someday she would have a store.

And so Someday Boutique it became.

Lisa quit her full-time job in January of the next year to focus all her time and energy on her little shop that could, and the blood, sweat and (not too many) tears paid off. Her talent at curating kick-ass threads proved to be just what the area needed. First-time customers became repeat customers, who became loyal devotes, who became good friends.

The boutique transitioned from consignment to retail, enabling Lisa to fill her shop with hip tops, gorgeous dresses, fun accessories, and of course — denim. Lots of denim!

After only a few years, Someday Boutique grew out of its original location in Warren, and moved to its current location at 40 Bridge Street, in historic Waitsfield Village. There, the shop rubs shoulders with cozy restaurants, independent stores, and Mad River landmarks. We hope that you find a time someday, very soon, visit us and come say hi — we’ll be waiting for you!

Thank you to all our loyal customers.
I am humbled, excited and so very happy!
